Three-Herb Beef Breakfast Patties by Mickey

This recipe is AMAZING.
It blew me away!

The combination of sage, thyme and rosemary is fantastic.

If you are bored with eating ground beef, then it's time to try this recipe

I had the patties with 1/2 avocado, some blueberries and coconut cream.

By the way, I cooked the patties with duck fat, but you can definitely follow the recipe below and use coconut oil.

Both are great for cooking at high temperatures, and above all, they taste so good!

Let me know your thoughts !

Thanks Mickey. Your recipe is fabulous.

Warm Kale Salad

Have you heard about the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol ? ( AIP) If not, I highly recommend you read this post by Sarah Ballantyne.

Basically, it is a modified Paleo diet for people who have an autoimmune disease ( I am the typical case ... having so many autoimmune disorders going on) .

Chai Goat Milk & the story that goes with it

I am sooooo glad I have found this delicious warming, soothing and satisfying drink : a Warm Goat Milk flavoured with Chai Spices.

Not a Dairy Free Recipe, but a Real-Dairy Recipe, as it is made with Raw Goat Milk which means it is not pasteurised. You should be able to find it in the fridge of your health store depending on where you live.

Salmon Tartare à la française

As you probably know, for the last 12 months, I have been avoiding grains, dairy and legumes (Paleo diet)  This lifestyle suits me very well, as:

- It has healed my body from a very rare condition called Scleritis, and it probably slows down another issue I have - I've just discovered the name of it, even if I have been in pain for the last 15 years!  As it is not common, I don't know much about it ( Idiopathic Condylar Resorption in the Temporo Mandibular Joint) I can only share my experience and would be happy to know other people who have it.

- The other benefit is that eating that way has awaken my passion for cooking. I thrive when I cook! To be honest, on my days off, I spend at least 3 hours cooking and 2 hours shopping or just strolling round the organic shops and greengrocers!

As I am a very curious person, I  looked for french paleo dieters on the Internet and I realised the Paleo diet is far to be known in France. Over there, they know the "Seignalet" diet , (http://www.seignalet.fr), which is meant to be an ancestral way of eating. It seems to be quite different to the Paleo diet though. One of the features of the Seignalet diet is to eat fish, meat and eggs in a RAW state.

That's why today, I made an experience. I tried to find a way to eat RAW and PALEO*

Hot Chocolate with Almond Milk

Note to people who are on a Salt-Free Diet :
Almond Milk contains sea salt ! Be careful and read the labels.

If, like me, your body tells you to avoid coffee, tea, dairy and soy milk, you know how difficult it is to find substitutes !

I have found something guys ! You will totally forget your cravings for a Latte

This is a Hot chocolate with Almond Milk

Please read this article http://www.marksdailyapple.com/why-you-should-eat-and-drink-high-cacao-dark-chocolate/#axzz1oTsUBtsZ, then you won't feel guilty at all when you drink this Heavenly Hot Chocolate!

If you love CHOCOLATE, I'm pretty sure you will be a fan...

To be honest, I have this hot drink almost every day ! It is so delicious that it stops all my cravings!

Ingredients, for a Large Hot Chocolate
- 1 cup of Organic Almond Milk (In Sydney, I found this brand called Pure Harvest, no sugar added)

- Hald a cup of Filtered Water

- 1 Tablespoon of Organic Unsweetened Raw Cacao Powder (easy to find in Organic Shops)

- Spices and Sweetener are optional : a pinch of ginger powder, 3 to 4 cardamom seeds(OR a pinch of ground cardamom), a pinch of Organic Stevia Powder (the Herb)

Directions
  1. Bring the water and Almond Milk with Cardamom Seeds(optional) to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. In a large glass or cup, put the raw cacao power, the ground spices, the dash of Stevia.
  3. Pour less than half of the hot mixture into your glass or cup. Make sure you do this step very slowly ! Stir the Cacao Mix Powder with a fork until completelety dissolved, then keep pouring the rest of the hot liquid into your glass.
  4. My technique is to put back this mixture into the saucepan and reheat it slightly.
  5. Remove the Cardamom Seeds with a teaspoon.
  6. Enjoy ...
What do you think ?
